Description of basic functionalities and requirements.
The import file includes:
a) the date of the transaction
b) type of transaction - purchase / sale
c) quantity
d) unit share price
e) total value of the transaction
f) cost of brokerage commission
g) total value after commission
We expect a tool that will generate the following information (mainly for accounting purposes in order to calculate CIT on capital investments) - at a specified time (i.e. for a specific time period defined by hand - from / to or a given month or a given quarter or a given year):
Report: Full list of stock exchange transactions by stock (alphabetically):
a) List of all purchase transactions with execution dates and amount values
b) List of all sales transactions with execution dates and amount values
c) The purchase cost is given with each sale
d) Summary of the given time period - the sum of the purchase and sale values (including the sum of the purchase costs of what was sold)
e) Calculation of the amount of profit or loss for a given security (of course, this is not a sale minus a purchase, but a sale minus the cost of acquisition)
Data sorted by date cumulatively (grouping and sorting defined by hand are welcome).
Generating a report in the scope of points a-d in a loop through all values of the given period, and then the final summary, i.e.
a) Summary calculation of the amount of profit or loss for all stocks
b) Inventory (stock list) at the end of the accounting period, including the purchase price (including shares that have not been sold)
