We hired Karo to rework our brand identity and develop our packaging. We were extremely disappointed with both the work and the experience. The first stage was supposed to be a redevelopment of our brand identity. Instead, our existing logo, the one we had created ourselves, was essentially reused without meaningful changes. We did not feel we received the identity development we had commissioned. She then proposed moving on to packaging. The designs were poor across all the fundamentals: composition, colour choices, typography, drawings and overall execution. They lacked cohesion and professional polish, and were nowhere near the standard we expected from the work shown on her Instagram. We requested a two rounds of revisions and provided feedback, but each new thing done was worse than the previous one. After repeated attempts, we had lost confidence in her ability to deliver the project. Before the work had even started, she also sent Useme paperwork that appeared to present the job as completed, accompanied by a document containing our own existing logo. This seriously undermined our trust in the process. We paid USD 700. We requested a USD 350 partial refund as a compromise; she refused. For us, this was an expensive disappointment, with a substantial gap between the portfolio that attracted us and the work we received. Based on our experience, we strongly advise against hiring Studio Karo.
