Joanna Sarnecka

About me

I graduated from the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the University of Warsaw. I was involved in min. designing and conducting marketing and social research. I am a story-teller in my group Opowieści z Walizki (www.opowiescizwalizki.pl). As part of this activity, I create and present storytelling performances, but also conduct workshops in the art of storytelling in the context of self-presentation or public speaking. I act as a culture animator. I conduct activities on the borderline of arts and activities with communities, I am particularly interested in multicultural heritage (one of the projects: www.kalmansegal.pl). I write a lot. I work with the online magazine taniecpolska.pl where I put critical texts on dance theater performances, I specialize in butoh dance. I write texts for local newspapers. I write poetic prose and stories. I am the author of the book "Dziennik uciekiniera". I am preparing a PhD on the subject of remembering Jewish neighbors in Podkarpacie (University of Rzeszów). I have completed the PAFF Leaders Training Program (School for Leaders).
