CNC Punch Software Development & Postprocessor Modification
We are looking for an experienced CNC Punch software developer to modify and improve our existing CNC Punch programming software and postprocessor.
Machine Information
- CNC Punch Press: LVD
- CNC Controller: ADTECH
- 20 turret stations
- Auto-index stations
- Existing software: NibblePro
- The machine is already retrofitted and operational.
Required Work
1. Auto-Index Optimization
- Optimize the Auto-Index toolpath.
- When several cutting lines have the same required angle, the software should process them together without unnecessarily changing the tool angle multiple times.
- The objective is to reduce machining time and unnecessary Auto-Index movements.
2. Micro-Joint Function
- Improve the Micro-Joint function.
- Preferably provide the ability to manually add/remove Micro-Joints.
- Adding a Micro-Joint to a new line should not unnecessarily change the number or position of existing Micro-Joints.
- The function should also work correctly with short/small cutting lines where applicable.
3. Postprocessor / CNC Program Output
- Modify the NibblePro postprocessor to generate CNC programs compatible with our ADTECH-controlled LVD CNC Punch.
- Maintain correct tool selection, coordinates, repositioning, Auto-Index angles and machine commands.
- Existing working programs and machine parameters will be provided as references.
4. Repositioning and Clamp Logic
- Review and correct the repositioning logic and CNC output related to sheet repositioning and clamps.
- The generated program must maintain the correct sequence for repositioning and punching.
5. Testing and Final Verification
- Test the modified software/postprocessor using sample SolidWorks/CAD drawings and existing CNC programs.
- Verify the generated CNC code on our machine.
- Fix any issues directly related to the agreed modifications.
