About me

Working in companies engaged in R & D on complex research projects I demonstrated the ability to analyze data and present a variety of solutions to the posed problems. My job required not only effective individual work, but also gave me the opportunity for the teamwork in solving problems. An important part of the implementation of all research projects was also careful recordkeeping, especially the analysis and verification of data. The joint implementation of tasks helped me develop the skills in effective communication, work planning, accuracy and consistency in the pursuit of the goal. I gained additional experience managing (in a replacement) for over a year the laboratory of Molecular Cytogenetics which gave me additional experience in the business part of R & D sector and taught me to lead a team of people. Moreover since June 2013 I was involved as a team leader in working on the cancer research project founded by EU on The innovative therapy for malignant brain tumors. I am a PhD holder I obtained in April 2007 at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria, with the experience in the field of microarrays. I came back to Poland and began to work in the hospitals' molecular cytogenetic laboratory in the Dept of Medical Genetics in the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw. Between September and December, 2007, I worked in the Dept of Molecular & Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX as a Postdoc associate where I learned the oligonucleotide array CGH technology to be able to implement it in my department in Warsaw. In addition, I offer an exceptional work ethic, strong commitment to quality of my research and a proven desire for achievement and continued professional growth. I am skilled in staff development, facilitating presentations and leading and organizing the departmental and training. I believe that my experience including chemistry, biotechnology, human genetics, cancer research and work in a public health organization can be an asset. Additionally my experience in management the research grants from the very beginning, starting at the level of the Bioethics Committee, through running the research process in the laboratory and close interaction with MDs and other professionals, ending up with writing the final reports and publications summarizing whole grants, can be an additional advantage.
