I graduated in Far Eastern Studies at the Jagiellonian University. After that I spent six months in Beijing improving my Chinese language skills at the Beijing Normal University. For the last five years I have been involved in translation in the scope of three languages: Polish-Chinese-English, including technical translation (mainly of the texts related to mining industry), legal documents, marketing materials, but I also eagerly translate other types of texts, such as a description of an artistic project. I am a holder of the HSK 5 (Chinese Proficiency Test) certificate, corresponding to the level C1 of the language competence in the European classification.
I like words. I find it fascinating to work with the text, to look for synonyms and to refine expressions so that the translation not only reflects the meaning of the original, but at the same time is well suited to the recipient and simply pleasing to the eye.
