Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to ask you to consider my application for the position of English to Polish, Polish to English translator, and interpreter (consecutive or simultaneous). I lived in Canada for 30 years, and as a consequence I have a mastery of English similar to a native speaker. For the last two years I have been working as a freelance translator and a teacher of English at the local English language schools in Olsztyn. While living in Canada I had my own small fishing company. The running of this company involved conducting marketing, accounting, training of staff and logistics. All my business activities were conducted entirely in English. After graduating from Stenberg College I worked for two years for the Vancouver School Board as a Teaching Assistant. I have recently finished the second year of three-year BA program at the Olsztynska Szkola Wyzsza in Olsztyn in Linguistics and Translation. In September 2016 I worked as a simultaneous translator at the European Conference of Sign Language Interpreters in Athens. I am currently taking courses to obtain the formal designation of Certified Translator. I see my future to be directly connected to the field of translation and interpreting.
