About me

My name is Aleksandra Sidoruk. I was born on December 26, 1998, in Łódź. I am currently an International Relations student with a specialty in diplomacy and international policy at the University of Lodz. This is the major in which I derive great satisfaction and joy because I relate to those with my interests and plans for the future. For several years I combined education with a passion for dance. However, I later discovered other interests. I finished the VIII High School in Łódź named after Adam Asnyk with a humanistic profile. After graduating from school and passing the final exams, I initially chose the major in Human Resources Management at the Faculty of Management at the University of Lodz. However, I quickly realized that my dreams were more important and decided to change it. It was a stressful experience, but it was worth it because I am now in a place where I know I should. Every day I try to be very active. Currently, I am the Mentor as part of the Erasmus Student Network UŁ program. I can put English into practice by helping others. It is also an amazing opportunity to improve organizational skills, meet students from around the world, and test yourself as a responsible person. At the same time, I am a member of the Board of the Association of Gals4Gals Lodz. It has been my dream for many years. It gives me unique tools to work for women's rights. As part of this initiative, I organize happenings, protests, and demonstrations. I've met amazing people since that time who taught me a lot. I have the opportunity, I am happy to use, to write my own feminist texts. Additionally, I am a co-host of the organization's English fanpage. This is a great way to regularly use the language and communicate with recipients. It’s politics and social issues that I tie my future with, but it's mainly a huge passion for me. Therefore, whenever I can I take part in activities such as the Youth Climate Strike. Currently, I'm at an internship at the Institute of Civil Affairs at the Regional Centre of International Debate. I write texts on social media and website, translate articles and interview our guests This year I was awarded a scholarship as part of the Erasmus program, thanks to which I have the opportunity to study at the University of Aveiro. I hope to work in an international organization in the future or to perform diplomatic service. Available articles are interested in literature, art, and travel.
