Refining the program in Python and/or converting it to another language

I have a script written that needs to be refined, add some features. The script was written by Python model in ChatGPT. It uses ImageMagick libraries. The “program” itself, when run, does what it was created for, however, I would like to extend it with a settings window. I don't know if finishing it in Python is a good idea and if it wouldn't be better to rewrite it in C++, for example.
