The assignment is to include the launch of a website that will be a product database. Task details:
1. launching the site on wordpress
2. configuring wordpress and google sheet so that the data from the sheet is displayed by wordpress.
3. Setting up the site control with two google sheet. Control and product. We create a google sheet control sheet where in individual rows there is for example a name and link to the product sheet, when a new row is created in the control sheet then for example zapier, another such plugin or custom solution creates a new page where the data is sucked from the product sheet. The control sheet should also control the category tree, so that products are added to the appropriate categories, subcategories, etc. 4.
The product sheet consists of multiple sub-sheets (within a single file). The main sub-sheet contains all data. Individual sub-sheets are linked to the main sub-sheet. A sub-sheet contains only a part of data from the main sub-sheet. There can be multiple sub-sheets.
5. a product page has some fixed format consisting of several blocks. Each block takes its data from a particular sub-sheet.
6. By creating more product page templates I can arrange the blocks as I want.
If in a row of sub-sheet there is a link or many links to jpg, then a picture or carousel will be displayed, if there is a link to *.pdf file or any other file, then there will be a download file on the page, if there is a link to youtube video, then the video will be displayed on the page, etc. When a row is empty, or not filled with the correct data, the row is not displayed.
8) If I update the data in the product sheet, the data on the page are updated automatically.
9. start filtering product search by attributes, attributes are parameters from sub-sheets. Sub-sheet in each row contains one type of parameter, parameters for one type can be multiple. For example, the use of 10 a given product may be suitable for 3.
