About me

Software engineer, owner of Piotr Bomba Engineering. I specialise in LLM integrations (RAG, MCP, agents, tool calling, local models on GPU) and production apps for healthcare and business.

Selected work: - cardiology telemonitoring app (Flutter/Firebase) with encrypted, pseudonymised patient data, now in a clinical trial, - LLM report generation with an MCP tool layer for an agritech SaaS (Django), - as CTO of a medtech startup: hospital telepresence robot, WebRTC system, voice app for doctors writing into an EHR over FHIR and SOAP, - 4 years as a scientist at Hitachi Energy: AI/ML software, C++/CUDA, 5 patent applications, AI training for engineering teams.

Stack: Python (Django, FastAPI), PostgreSQL, Supabase, Firebase, Flutter, TypeScript/React, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, vLLM/Ollama.

Education: MRes Medical Physics (UCL), MSc mechatronics and robotics (AGH Krakow). Polish national winner of the James Dyson Award 2024 (Kuuler). I also run practical AI training sessions.
