Technical Writer / Product Analyst – MES Specification for Smartphone Refurbishing Factory

Description

We are a well-established tech-driven company with 9+ years of experience building in-house systems including a PHP Laravel-based Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Order Management System (OMS). We're now building a full-featured Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for our smartphone refurbishing factory.

We have a team of 20 in-house Laravel/PHP developers, 4 managers, and 4 product testers. However, we need an experienced Product Analyst or Technical Writer to write comprehensive and gold-standard product specifications for our new MES platform. This role involves defining modules, workflows, and data integration logic for the development team.

Responsibilities

• - Collaborate with management and developers to gather requirements

• - Design and document detailed functional and technical specifications for MES modules

• - Define workflows for product repair and production planning

• - Specify manpower, parts planning, and scheduling logic

• - Document dashboards, user roles, and integration points with WMS/OMS

• - Review and iterate documents with development and QA teams

Requirements

• - Experience writing specifications for manufacturing or factory floor systems

• - Understanding of shop floor workflows: repair, testing, grading, dispatch

• - Familiarity with Laravel/PHP ecosystem (not coding, but system architecture)

• - Ability to design workflow diagrams, dashboards, and data mapping

• - Experience working with development and QA teams in agile setups

Deliverables

• - Full MES specification document covering all modules

• - Workflows for repair, grading, dispatch, and manpower planning

• - Parts forecasting and scheduling logic

• - UI wireframes and process flow diagrams (optional but preferred)

• - Documentation of integration points with WMS, OMS, and inventory systems
