Community Manager (Freelance) — Memes + Community Building (Fintech Brand)
We’re a boutique creative agency supporting a fast-growing fintech client. They’re young, internet-native, and genuinely open to bold, culture-first ideas. We need a freelance Community Manager who can build community through memes and conversation, not just “post and reply.”
What you’ll do
Create meme-based content (fast, relevant, on-brand) for daily/weekly social posting
Write sharp, human copy for captions, comments, and community replies
Engage with followers in real time: comments, DMs, story replies, polls, community prompts
Build an ambassador/user community: identify strong fans, nurture relationships, activate UGC
Spot trends early (formats, jokes, slang, cultural moments) and adapt them to the brand without being cringe
Collaborate with our team on content plans, tone of voice, and campaign moments
What we need from you
Strong copywriting skills: concise, witty, punchy, and platform-native
Deep “visual taste” and cultural awareness (modern internet culture, meme formats, trends)
Excellent intuition for tone and brand voice—knowing when to be playful vs. direct
Comfortable being the brand in public: quick thinking, friendly, confident communication
Experience building engaged audiences (not only growing followers)
Nice to have
Experience in fintech / crypto / payments / lifestyle tech brands
Basic design skills (Canva/Figma) or the ability to quickly assemble meme formats
Community/Discord/Telegram experience
Ability to propose content series and community rituals (recurring formats that people come back for)
