Native American English editor – literary fiction/romance, 62,000-word novel

I’m looking for a native speaker of American English to edit a completed English-language version of my contemporary sports romance novel (approximately 62,000 words).

The novel was originally written in Polish and is intended for the U.S. publishing market. A complete English version already exists, so I am NOT looking for a translation from scratch.

I’m looking for someone who can make the manuscript read naturally to an American reader while preserving my authorial voice, meaning, pacing and style.

The work would primarily involve:

- natural American English phrasing and sentence structure,

- realistic, contemporary dialogue,

- improving flow where the English sounds translated or unnatural,

- grammar and punctuation,

- consistency,

- preserving the meaning and tone of the Polish original rather than rewriting the story.

Experience with fiction, romance, creative writing or literary editing would be a strong advantage.

I’m open to professional editors as well as native American English speakers studying or recently graduated in English, Creative Writing, Literature, Publishing or a related field.
