Our long-term observation of user behavior and a deep dive into their needs let us create a new, cost-effective pricing structure for our clients. Below, we’ll explain what’s changing and how these changes will affect your transactions with freelancers.
Who can use our new pricing plan?
The answer is: everyone, but on one condition. As before, we deduct a low service fee from your deals with freelancers on Useme. If you want to base the transaction fees on the new pricing, you have to cover the service fee.
To cover the service fee, contact us at employer@useme.com and let us know that you want to switch to the new pricing and choose one of the plans described below.
Key benefits of the new pricing for employers
Every new platform feature or improvement has been possible thanks to you and other users. Your constructive feedback has been enormously helpful in shaping the new pricing according to your needs. Here’s what we’ve introduced:
- Lower service fee
Most importantly, our service fee percentage is now lower than before. It used to be 4.99%. Now, it’s 4.5% of the net invoice value and can go even lower. All you need to do to reduce it is make transactions with more freelancers per month.
- The more freelancers, the lower your service fee
The second most impactful update is the switch from how many deals you make to how many freelancers you pay each month. The more contractors invoice you via Useme, the lower your service fee percentage. This change aims to favor employers who settle deals with several freelancers per month.
- Three plans
We’ve introduced three brand-new pricing plans. You can check their details in our Help Center. Each plan implies a different service fee. You’re assigned to the plan based on your monthly number of freelancers on Useme.
- Maximum and minimum service fee per transaction
Our service fee is a percentage of the net amount stated on the invoice from the freelancer. However, you’ll never pay more than €99 for a service fee per transaction, regardless of the invoice amount. The service fee will also never be lower than €5 per transaction. Check demonstrative service fee calculations.
New prices, same great value
Not everything has changed. Useme has always been free of subscription fees. We offer you a “pay-per-task” model, so you pay a service fee only when you make a transaction with a freelancer. You are entirely in charge of your budget and collaboration with remote contractors.
Moreover, there’s no set-up fee. You can create and run an account for free, even if you don’t make any transactions.
What’s included in your pricing plan?
Each plan has a different service fee percentage but the same benefits! No matter how many freelancers invoice you per month, you have unlimited access to:
- Summary invoices and bulk payments. To reduce procedural work, you can replace all transactions via Useme with a single payment and tax invoice.
- Escrow service. When you pay your contractor via Useme, we don’t immediately send them the payment. We hold it in escrow until the freelancer uploads work files confirming job completion. This way, Useme ensures both sides of the transaction are protected.
- Customer Service support. Proactive, empathetic, and effective, to mention just a few words used by our users to describe our Customer Service team. You and your contractor can use our support to facilitate your transactions.
- The international base of 160k+ freelancers. If you have a job to outsource and an account on Useme but lack a contractor, try Useme Jobs. Here, employers find remote specialists from all around the world and pay them for work without formalities.
- Easy copyright transfer. If you pay for a graphic, written content, program, or another original work, you can acquire the copyright from its author through Useme. When freelancers invoice you on our platform, they can transfer copyrights with one click – you don’t have to do anything.
3. Plans for employers
If you’ve been settling deals with freelancers on Useme for at least 6 months, your plan depends on the average number of freelancers you paid in the last 3 months. We round the average up to your advantage. The higher your rounded average, the lower your service fee next month.
However, If you’re just starting to work with freelancers through Useme, we don’t count the average. Once you start, you’re on Plan 1. From the second month, we base your plan on the number of freelancers you paid last month.
Check how we assign plans to employers:
- if they’ve paid freelancers via Useme for at least 6 months;
- if they’ve paid freelancers via Useme for less than 6 months.
