I am a motivated and enthusiastic recent economics graduate with strong interpersonal and organisational skills. In my previous summer admin jobs, including an internship in a central bank I have accustomed myself to work diligently and efficiently in hectic situations and had a chance to get grasp of working in a corporate environment. I have always been drawn to challenging tasks and people who take the initiative and I can confidently say there is no job I would consider too big or too small.
I interrupted my studies during my third year, mainly because I decided it was finally time to figure out what path I want to pursue in the future. During that time I managed to change my perspective completely. For the 3 months I worked in a bookshop where I learned more about customer service/operations techniques, indulged myself in the powerful and calming world of books and improved my managerial skills as most of the time I was all alone managing the whole shop on my own. After that I went to Lima (Peru) to volunteer in a day-care centre where I taught English, assisted children with their homework and helped improve the everyday work of the centre by, among other things, making signposts to make navigating around the centre easier and editing handbooks for future volunteers. I can honestly say that it was one of the most life-changing decisions I have ever made and it definitely helped me get a clearer view of who I want to be.
